Yet another day of visiting schools. Today we managed to visit at four different schools as they were all realtively close to main roads and didn't require any hiking to get to them.

The classrooms here have some of the oldest chalkboards I have ever seen!

When we arrived at California the students and teachers were getting ready to head to the church for games and activities. No one could quite explain why they were playing games, and most of the students didn't even know why they were going there!

In Los Cedros old desks are collected and tossed in a pile on the side of the school grounds. Students are discouraged from climbing and playing in the pile by the barbed wire that is used to keep the stack contained. All because the ministry of education doesn't fix old desks, and the schools doesn't dare get rid of ministry of education property.

Teaching and learning outdoors is the best way to learn. And perhaps the most easily distracted... This group of third graders in Los Cedros was thrilled to postpone classes for a photo.

At the last school we visited in San Diego the students were outside playing baseball. They had a plastic bat and ball and couldn't have been happier.

Walking into the school in Osneida we were greeted with playground equipment that is in great need of repair. Two chains and one wooden seat are all that's needed, yet this playground just doesn't have any in the correct combinations.
