day three

Sorry, no great pictures from today. Instead of visiting schools, I spent some time talking with the facilitators. These are three incredible Nicaraguans who want to impact their communities in a big way.

Some of the plans and ideas that are in the works after today's discussions include:
1. Finding a location and teacher to receive 5 computers and training on how to incorporate this into daily learning.
2. Putting together a workshop for English teachers to give them new ideas and to assist them in thinking of creative ways to teach with very few resources.
3. Finding and purchasing seeds for use in school gardens.

There are so many more projects we would love to do, but for now the biggest obstacle is finances. Looks like a part of my job will be working on ways to get the money so that we can do the programs. If you know of a corporation or organization looking to sponsor some rural Nicaraguan schools let me know!
